Top places in England to take a stylish RV Holiday

RV Holiday

If you listen to the latest weather reports, you may be just as confused as us in terms of what lies in store for us rainwise! With many of us missing out on summer holidays due to the pandemic and isolation, some of us are still looking for that last summer holiday before we say goodbye to the sun. Summer holidays however don’t have to be all about the beach and the sands. When you hire an RV from EnergyRV Hire, England really does become the open road and we have put together some of the best places in England, perfect for a visit with your campervan. Whether you plan to visit just one or try and fit as many in as possible, with the suggestions below, you will have a holiday to remember.

Budle Bay, Northumberland

If you are an avid bird watcher, there is no better place to spot your favourite winged animals than at Budle Bay in Northumberland. Housing a bird sanctuary and part of the National Nature Reserve, the winter months, in particular, are likely to see thousands of wildfowl flock to the bay’s mudflats.

Budle Bay is also home to incredible walks including around the bay itself and when you have completed the 5-mile walk, the village is home to a lovely coffee shop and toilet facilities so you can fuel up before heading back to the comfort of your RV.

Dive into Lake District with your mobile home

With so many places to hook up in the Lake District, you may find yourself wanting to spend all your time there! Lake District is England’s home to some of the highest Mountains including Sca Fell and Helvellyn so if you are looking for a walking holiday where you can challenge yourself to climb higher than ever before, Lake District is the destination for you.

Spend the day mountaineering before coming back to your Energy RV to use beautiful bathroom facilities including a full working shower – you will feel like you have never left home. Top the evening off with a warming drink under the stars using the garden furniture conveniently stowed on board.

Sea views in Cornwall from your RV windows

Commonly known as the Cornish Riveria, St Ives is easily one of the most beautiful places in the county and is therefore ideal for any type of break you are looking for. Visit the Tate Gallery, spend time building sandcastles on the beach and watch the tides roll in from the comfort of your mobile home during the evening.

St Ives has a fantastic array of restaurants and pubs so if you manage to get bored of the great kitchen facilities you have in your RV, why not book to have a beautiful meal at a modern restaurant?

The beautiful Brecon Beacons

The Brecon Beacons is home to the mountain range of South Wales and along with its sister national parks (Snowdonia and Pembrokeshire) is protected due to its status. Many Brecon Beacons visitors are there for the breathtaking views the mountain range has to offer not to mention the waterfalls, communities and stone castles to visit and photograph.

Whether you want to go horseback riding, fishing or exploring, the Brecon Beacons has something to offer to everyone who visits. Why not have a late dinner in your campervan before trekking to the Usk Reservoir or Hay Bluff to do a bit of late-night star gazing? The Brecon Beacons was the first Dark Sky Reserve in Wales and has the most breathtaking views of the night sky.

Cardiff Bay

With unique views of the quay and marina, Cardiff Bay is host to many places to pass the time and have the best day. Take a stroll around the bay, get a taxi boat to nearby Mermaid Quay and visit The Norweigan Church to learn all about its role in the Industrial Revolution (whilst resting at the Cafe). Cardiff Bay offers the ability to be busy during the day and way into the night with great restaurants and attractions.

Stay at the conveniently based Cardiff Caravan Park, just outside of the city centre so you can take advantage of everything Cardiff Bay has to offer whether you are travelling there in the RV or hiring some bicycles to turn the journey into an adventure.

Scotlands own Route 66

This must be Scotland’s best-kept secret and is great for those who are looking to hire one of Energy’s RVs for a little longer. Dubbed the North Coast 500, this Route 66 Esq tour totals 500 miles and is one of the most beautiful coast touring routes to exist. Starting in Inverness, make your way to the Glen Ord Distillery to try their famous whiskey. Move on to the TroutQuest at Evanton, up to Dunrobin Castle before heading to the very top of Scotland to visit Duncansby Head.

From Duncansby Head, you will travel along the top of Scotland with many attractions to visit along the way including the hard to believe Smoo Cave then drop down to other beautiful places where you will eventually find the Hebridean Whale Cruises amongst your itinerary. The North Coast 500 offers 10 stops along the entire route, though of course, you can add in any attractions or places you would particularly like to visit. We absolutely recommend this trip to anyone who is desperate to see the hidden treasures that Scotland has to offer.

Isle of Wight

For those of you wanting to travel a little further afield, why not plan a visit to the Isle of Wight? A place perfectly set up for those wanting to travel with their mobile homes with a host of areas to visit and tick off your list.

Visit Bembridge Beach to explore and discover – spot the views of St Helens fort built in the 1800s. Watch the boats negotiate their way into the harbour or have a go at watersports – a popular attraction at the beach.

If you are looking for adventure with a difference, we recommend the Goodleaf Tree Climbing. Enjoy some ‘tech free’ time with your family whilst you see how high you can climb, spend time in nature and find the perfect branch for you to sit and take stock of your life for however long you need to.

There are various campsites to park up on all with their own benefits and amenities to ensure you always have whatever you need. luckily, as you are in an Energy RV, your bathroom and comfort facilities are already taken care of!
